Before planning your travel

• Make sure that you bring with you all the medical records at your disposal in English.
• Verify your visa requirements as they vary from Country to Country. All foreigners intending to enter Italy must provide the documentation required to justify the reasons and duration of their stay as well as, in some prescribed cases, the availability of adequate economic means and lodgings

European Patients

Foreign patients coming from European countries can benefit of international mobility patient rules and be covered by their Health National System by requiring the S2 form (ex E112) and obtain prior the authorization from his local health insurance fund.
 
Countries covered by S2 procedures are: all countries of EEC, Country of the SEE (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein), Switzerland and the following states with bilateral agreement: ARGENTINA, AUSTRALIA, BRASILE, CAPOVERDE, CITTÀ DEL VATICANO E SANTA SEDE, EX JUGOSLAVIA (Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Erzegovina), PRINCIPATO DI MONACO, SAN MARINO, TUNISIA
 
The S2 model is necessary and supplies:

• preliminary clinical consultation
• entire cycle of treatment
• additional imaging and visits performed during the treatment

S2 model DOES NOT cover:

• accommodation and interpreter service
• costs for living and mobility
• additional clinical costs
• EHIC card is always required.
