To the attention of the CNAO Foundation President, Erminio Borloni - Pavia >From the Zarabara Damiano Family I hereby send you a few lines attached, written by my husband Libero Zarabara, to confirm that a vital reconstruction process is underway, and it could be activated thanks to the carbon therapy that he was able to receive at your Foundation, the CNAO. What we thought was just the;last resort and chimera has instead given unexpected results and, considering the progress that is appearing before our eyes, day by day, I can only hope - as a relative of someone who has gone through a degenerative ordeal from a physical point of view - that more and more people can benefit from it. It is not always easy to write a letter of thanks and, least of all, to those who have shared the difficulty of seeing a loved one spend hours in pain and, at the same time, supporting him, so that he could benefit from the carbon treatment; You already know that we are grateful for everything that has been done. Knowing first hand that there are people like the specialists who make up the staff that have accompanied Libero Zarabara, since the first difficult applications, is a beautiful reality. Because of my husband’s illness, I was able to meet you, Eminent Doctor Erminio Borloni, at the head of a facility that is to be considered one of the ""excellences"" in our territory. But understanding that the future, science and research are locked together and disregarding them would not be good. There can be no decline in our country if we continue boasting of people like Dr Maria Rosaria Fiore and all the doctors who, together with her, have created a professionalism that is second to none and for which we are grateful. The willingness and;humanity with which they dealt with the case related to my husband, including nurses and medical and paramedical staff, the technicians who have operated with precision and attention the equipment that allowed the chordoma to become less and less worrying in size, in our eyes and certainly important results for you, even if minimal, because all this is the result of a constant and competent commitment that helps those who - when struck by such a catastrophe - no longer hope and have only eyes to cry. I have spoken at length, unlike my husband, who pointed out the pure results from his own point of view, concisely, in the;attachment that you will receive together with my letter. Thank you for your;attention. I take;this opportunity to send you and all the members of the CNAO Foundation, a;blessing in a country that needs PEOPLE like YOU to start believing that things can change for the better, our best regards.
