The CNAO has saved my life and the lives of many other patients suffering from tumours not otherwise curable! Before forcing it to close down, it is necessary to realise that IN LIFE EVERYONE COULD NEED IT, even those who today, by denying it the necessary funds, prevent it from carrying out its mission, which is essential for so many sick people, for whom it is the;last resort. It is a centre of excellence, the result of the work of Italian engineers, doctors and technicians, of whom we should be proud! There are only three more facilities like this one in the world! The CNAO (private in form, but the result of ""public"" investments) has just been born and has already had extraordinary therapeutic success. WE CANNOT LET IT DIE! Not realising this is madness. POLITICS, WHICH IS; RESPONSIBLE FOR ITS FATE, SHOULD STOP IN TIME. Politics should avoid losing further credibility, by depriving the country of one of the few things (which has instead contributed to produce) that still honour;Italy and make;foreign countries envy us. THE PRESS AND MEDIA SHOULD HELP SAVE THE CENTRE. CNAO patients, especially those who may become patients in the future if it survives, will be grateful to you. Vincenzo Montalto
